The Oklahoma City Thunder are headed to the NBA Finals for the first time in franchise history. This comes a year after the Thunder were dispatched in the Western Conference finals last year by Dallas Mavericks in five games. San Antonio looked to have the game in total control of the game (15 point lead at half time) and were well on their way to a Game 7 at the AT&T Center. Kevin Durant (34 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists) exploded in the second half for 20 points and led the improbable third quarter comeback which gave life to the Thunder for the rest of the game.
